Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

'Making Music Fun in East Anglia'

Happy New Year to you all, and we begin the year by saying a big âthank youâ to the Woodbridge and District Lions who have kindly donated £500 towards new instruments for our young players. In next monthâs article we shall report back on the final amount we raised by playing carols at Christmas. Cheques will be presented to representatives of our chosen charities at our AGM on 6th March (note change of date). Donât forget our Beetle Drive on 31st January at St Michaels Church Centre, Martlesham Heath, starting at 7pm. Tickets are £2.50 from Chris Beale 07802 868924. We are all really looking forward to welcoming Brett Baker, Principal Trombone with The Black Dyke Band, to teach at our workshop and then perform in a concert with us on 28th February at St Michaelâs Church. This concert will showcase Brettâs amazing talent and is definitely not to be missed â" tickets will soon be available!
Our band welcomes new players young and old, with or without experience. Our aim is to encourage anyone who feels they would like to play in a brass band to come and have a go! If you would like to join us, or if you already play or have previously played a brass instrument and feel that you would like to come along and meet us, please contact us via the website or use the contact details below.
