Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Springtime Brass Concert Success

On Saturday 29th March the Main Band visited Voyager School in Peterborough to perform a concert with the Peterborough Young Singers, Hampton College, Hampton Vale and Hampton Hargate choirs as well as the City of Peterborough Youth Ensemble.

A two hour rehearsal was held with the choirs in the afternoon where we ran through our varied programme for the evening concert, with pieces including The Vicar of Dibley, A Thousand Years, Amazing Grace, Adiemus, Sing, Somewhere Out There, Jerusalem and Defying Gravity with a soloist. We had a guest conductor, Ruby, from the choir that led the band superbly through Be Thou My Vision.

A few hundred people attended the concert in the evening in which the band and choirs performed wonderfully. We returned back to Martlesham just before the clocks went forward. Thanks to all for making it such a huge success!
