Message from the bandleaders
Playing in a brass band is a brilliant way to learn how to play a musical instrument as part of a group and it encourages you all to be team players in Martlesham Brass. Practicing on your own, at home, each week is also a really great way to improve your playing skills. We love to see you all at band practices and we would encourage you to come to as many as you possibly can, but if for any reason you cannot come along please can you or your parents let your bandleader know by emailing the bandleaders. It is really helpful to us to know if you cannot be there so that we can plan how to cover your part and keep the sound of the band balanced. Thank you.
Christmas
Christmas â" yes we know itâs early but the band need to be organised! Each year we raise money for local charities and we would like you to let your bandleader know your nominations as soon as possible so get thinking! Playing Christmas Carols is a very worthwhile way to spend an hour or two over the Christmas period as it raises valuable funds for local charities. We shall also need parents or adult supporters to be collectors when we play at supermarkets etc.
