Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Welcome

Welcome to our overhauled newsletter. Lots of things going on over the next few months, so hopefully the wind and rain will hold off for that. Anyways, lots of coursework to complete and work to do, so I’ll see you next month.

Gift Aid

Since we became a charity we have received a gift from the Inland Revenue of 1326.40.Well that's not quite true, we have received a gift from all of you taxpayers who have opted to Gift Aid your subs or those of your children since we gained charity status in November 2003. This figure represents the amount we have been able to claim up to the 5th April 2005.As you can see it is a really worthwhile thing to do and doesn't cost you a penny!!!! So this is a plea to all of you who have not completed the gift aid form. Please think about it. It is very painless. If you pay tax we can claim 28p for every 1 you give. The only criteria is that you must pay an amount of Income Tax and /or Capital Gains Tax equal to the tax that the Charity Claims. You only need to complete the form once and if your circumstances change in the future and you no longer pay Income Tax all you need to do is notify us.If you need a form please ask on the door on a Friday evening or telephone me on 01473 719609.
