It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Filing Cabinet - �free to a good home�.

Mary Aldous has a 2 Drawer metal filing cabinet Bruce gave to her in 1996 when we started the band but she no longer has room for it. Please see her for more details.

Instrument Amnesty

Do you have any band instruments at home that you�re not using? Please bring them along to practice on the 23rd of July.

Last practice before Summer

As the band take a summer break during August, the last practice in July will be on the 30th. As some members are away on that date, there will be a joint rehearsal with all bands at St Michaelâ��s Church from 7pm â�" 8pm.

Summer Fayre News

On Saturday 12th June 2010 we will be holding our annual Martlesham Brass Summer Fayre at St Michael�s Church Centre, Martlesham Heath. Whatever the weather brings the fayre will still go ahead, we have plenty of room undercover!

This is a great family event with entertainment all afternoon and lots to do. Please bring your family, friends, neighbours along to join in the fun. All funds raised will go to the band.

Timings for the afternoon

1pm â�" all band members arrive, BBQ available for lunch (and all afternoon)
1.30-2.20pm â�" Massed band (all players) performance then main band performance
2.30-2.50pm â�" Beginners performance
3.00-3.20pm â�" ALI MAGIC show
3.30-3.50pm â�" Preliminary Band performance
4.00-4.20pm â�" Intermediate Band performance
4.30pm â�" RAFFLE
Once the fayre has been dismantled it is MB tradition to have a game of rounders and a bit of a social gathering, all are welcome!

Cake stall

Please bring your lovely cakes Friday night (11th) or Saturday. Refreshments will also be available all afternoon.

Hamper Raffle

Hamper lists are currently circulating the bands, please bring your donations Friday 11th.
