Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Martlesham Brass Publicity

1st September, 2001 - Martlesham Monthly/Kesgrave News entry for September 2001

Martlesham Brass starts the month with an appearance on the 2nd September at the annual Sutton Fayre. We then continue to get In the Mood for the Martlesham Heath Aviation Society event on the 23rd September where the band will be playing music of the era as part of their programme.
6th October ~ 5th Birthday Concert
Martlesham Brass will be celebrating its 5th Birthday with a concert on Saturday 6th October at 5.30pm. Tickets may be ordered in advance at the cost of £1. Entry on the door will be £1.50. Entry is free for all accompanied children under 16 years old. The concert is being held at the Martlesham Community Centre.

27th October ~ Preliminary Band Tea and Tunes Concert
This event is being held at St Michaels Church Centre in the afternoon. The precise times will be published in next months issue. The concert is a chance for some of our younger, less experienced players to showcase their talent. In previous years this has been a delightfully informal event during which tea and cakes are consumed in great quantities, and not just by the players! Please come and join us for this enjoyable afternoon.

If you wish to order tickets for the Birthday Concert or you wish to join Martlesham Brass please phone our Band secretary, Liz Benyon on 01473 623276.

If you want information regarding the booking of the band for an event please contact our Bookings Secretary, Julie Clapson on 01473 620240.

Finally we would like to take this opportunity to say Good Luck and best wishes to those members of the band who are off to Universities and Colleges at the end of September.
