Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

15th September, 2004 - Martlesham Brass Press Release 15/09/04

After a summer break during August, Martlesham Brass are preparing for a busy autumn and winter season seeing them perform at various functions all over Suffolk.
On the second of October is Martlesham Brass' 8th Birthday Concert, held at the Martlesham community Centre. The Concert takes place from 7 - 9.30pm, with doors opening at 6.30pm (Tickets available on the door). Those eight years have seen the band grow from 20 members to well over 100 and this concert will be a real celebration of how far the Band have come, featuring solo's from players who have progressed from beginner level.
Other events coming up over the next month include the Preliminary Bands annual Tea and Tunes event at St Michaels Church in Martlesham. This takes place on 6th November between 10am and 12pm, again tickets will be available on the door from 9.30am. This is a great opportunity for the Preliminary band to showcase their array of music in their own concert. The Band will also be playing at Woodbridge Town Council Rememberance Day Parade on 14th November from 10.30am - 11.45am, as well as at St Mary's Church Rememberance day service on the same day. Later in November on the 20th Martlesham Brass will be playing at the Orwell Yacht Club between 8pm and 10pm. This will take the Band through to the start of their Christmas events, as far away as that may seem at the moment.
