Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

10th January, 2005 - Martlesham Brass - Christmas Collecting

Martlesham Brass had an extremely busy Christmas period this year, out collecting in various places most nights and weekends in December.
As usual this collecting marathon was not just raising money for Band funds, but also for three charities nominated by members of the Band. These were The Barnabus Trust, Martlesham Community Response Unit and The Ipswich NHS Trust Rheumatology Unit.
In total well over £2,000 has been raised, with the bulk of this, some £1,755.36 being raised over 9 collecting sessions at local Supermarkets and around the Streets of Martlesham Heath and Kesgrave. Martlesham Brass would like thank the people of Martlesham and Kesgrave, as well as the staff and customers of Sainsburys Warren Heath and Tescos Martlesham Supermarkets for their astounding generosity and hospitality.
The incredible amount of money raised will be put to good use by all the chosen Charities, and should really make a difference for the people involved in 2005. Certainly the money used for Band funds will make a huge difference as we continue to grow and develop into 2005.
