Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Martlesham Brass' spring/summer season got off to a tremendous start, as they came away from the East Anglian Brass Band Association Spring Festival in Norwich with an incredible amount of Silverware.
The Main Band won both halves of their section, as did our Wednesday Night Group, and the Youth Band came Second in both halves of their section.
An amazing performance from all players, Conductors and supporters!
As well as the Band awards, Principal Euphonium player Michael Ixer and Solo Horn player Ian Harvey, both from the Main Band, were selected for special awards. Congratulations to Michael and Ian!
Fresh from this amazing success, Martesham Brass can now look forward to showing off all this new silverware at their Spring Concert, held on 21st May.
Featuring all four Bands of Martlesham Brass, the Spring Concert will include music of all styles and tastes, played by the whole spectrum of players, from the newest beginners to the Main Band.
The Concert is being held at Kesgrave High School from 7 - 9.30pm, but please arrive a bit early to get your seats! Tickets will be available on the door, or please contact Publicity Officer Matthew Ellis for details of advance bookings on 07813 760499.
The Spring Concert really marks the start of the busiest time of year for the Band, as they are out playing all over Suffolk nearly every weekend from the Concert until the start of August.
For information about tickets, or any other information about Martlesham Brass please check out our website at www.martleshambrass.btinternet.co.uk or contact Publicity Officer Matthew Ellis on 07813 760499.
