Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

16th January, 2006 - Press Release 16/01/06

Martlesham Brass would like to thank everyone who supported them during the Christmas period. The efforts of Martlesham Brass' players, parents and fundraising committee, as well as the generosity of the people of Suffolk have combined to enable us to give £240 to each of our three nominated charities - C.R.Y. (Cardiac Risk in the Young), D.C.E. (Disability Care Enterprise) and the Childrens Wards of Ipswich Hospital. Cheques will be presented to representatives of these charities at Martlesham Brass' annual AGM on February 3rd 2006.
The amazing fundraising efforts over the Christmas period would not have been possible without the hard work of Martlesham Brass' main committee and fundraising committee. The Annual General Meeting on February 3rd 2006 is an opportunity for people connected with the Band to take a place on one of these Committees and continue their invaluable work into the new year. With well over a hundred members now, the organisation of a concern such as Martlesham Brass takes some careful thought and planning. The committees ensure that Martlesham Brass runs as smoothly as possible.
2006 should be another busy year for the Band, with requests already coming in for summer events and beyond. Anyone hoping to book the Band is advised to get requests in as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment.
