Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Martlesham Brass Press Release â" 27 September 2006

Martlesham Brass is celebrating 10 years of music making in East Anglia.

On Saturday 30 September at 7.15pm around 100 players will take to the stage at Kesgrave Community Centre to celebrate the tenth birthday of Martlesham Brass. The band will be joined by past members and the quintet Tempus Brass to perform a range of music from the traditional to the modern. The programme will include two brand new pieces composed by members of the band especially to celebrate the occasion.

Players will have spent the day at a workshop which is being led by Tempus Brass. The quintet, based in the north-west of England was formed in 2004 by members of the Royal Northern College of Music. One of the quintet is Adrian Robinson, originally from Ipswich and a past player with and honorary member of Martlesham Brass.

A few tickets are still available for the concert and may be obtained by emailing [email protected] or by visiting www.martleshambrass.co.uk and following the contact link. Alternatively you may leave a message on 01473 611578.
