Making music fun in east anglia

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Martlesham Brass has always held her in great esteem and we will miss her dedication and constant care for us.
We have followed her example of making our organisation open and welcoming to all.

We look to the future when we can celebrate her life and that of our new sovereign, King Charles III.

Martlesham Brass
'Making Music Fun in East Anglia'

We have managed to buy two more instruments recently - a 'baby' E-flat bass which will be easier for a younger or smaller player to manage and a Jupiter tenor horn.
June is the month of Fetes and Fayres and all the bands will be busy. On the 7th, the Intermediates will be at St Mary's School in Woodbridge and the Preliminaries will be at Tuddenham Church Fete. On the 21st, Hillside Primary School will be the venue for the Preliminaries and a small mixed group of players will also perform at the Martlesham Church Fete. The following day the Main Band will make it's annual trip to Norwood House Care Home near Middleton to entertain the residents and their relatives.
Our very own Fayre is on Martlesham Village Green from 1.30pm on Saturday 14th June. The afternoon will start with a massed band performance, continuing with each band performing their favourite pieces. There is a wonderful Grand Draw, a cake competition and a Table Top Sale (£5 per table, email [email protected] to book). The BBQ will be sizzling away and teas, coffees etc will also be available. Please come along and share the fun!
Our band welcomes new players young and old, with or without experience. Our aim is to encourage anyone who feels they would like to play in a brass band to come and have a go! If you would like to join us, or if you already play or have previously played a brass instrument and feel that you would like to come along and meet us, please contact us via the website or use the contact details below.
